7 DAY ECO TOUR TO RICHTERSVELD, AUGRABIES FALLS AND KGALAGADI TRANSFRONTIER PARK


We visit three of the greatest national parks in southern africa. See the largest Mountain desert in Africa with its abundance of succulent species specialy adapted to survive in this arid environment.
The thundering water at Augrabies Falls.
And look for the king of the jungle,lion, and the king of the desert, oryx(gemsbok)

This tour can either start in Upington or Springbok

Day One:
We depart from Springbok and visit a mission station at Pella where the Sister will take us on a guided tour through the Catholic Church and museum. After the tour we will have coffee or tea at the cultural coffee house of "Ouma Toekoes". During the afternoon we will arrive at the Augrabies Falls National Park and spend the rest of the day exploring the area and taking photographs. We will spend the night there.

Day two:
We depart from Augrabies Falls National Park and drive through the towns of Kakamas and Keimoes where we will stop at sites like the old waterwheel and water tunnels. A stop over at the Keimoes padstal is inevitable to buy some souvenirs. We will pass Upington along the route to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. After booking in at Tweerivieren rest camp we go on a game drive in search of the Kalahari Lion. We spend the night at this rest camp.

Day three:
As soon as the gates open we go on a three to four hour game drive. After our return we pack up and leave for Mata Mata rest camp. After we booked in at the rest camp we go on a game drive. We spend the night at Mata Mata rest camp.

Day four:
Early morning game drive after which we will pack and leave for Vioolsdrift. After a long days drive we will reach Vioolsdrift and camp along the Orange river.

Day five:
We depart early and head towards Eksteenfontein and visit "Bakkranse" for brunch. We enter the Richtersveld National Park at the Helskloof gate and spend the rest of the day and night at Kokerboomkloof camp site

Day six:
We break camp and visit a couple of sites on our way to De Hoop Camp site where we will relax and spend the night.

Day seven:
After breaking camp we depart from the National park and head back to Springbok via Alexander Bay and Port Nolloth.
